Ayurveda (Devana-gari-: the 'science
of life') is a system of traditional medicine native to India, and is practiced in other parts of the world as a form of alternative medicine.

In Sanskrit, Ayurveda comprises the words a-yus, meaning 'life' and veda, meaning 'science'.

Ayurveda is an elemental science and is expressed through the 3 Doshas:


Vata (Air and Ether)

Pitta (Fire and Water)

Kapha (Water and Earth)
